Does Size Really Matter…

Men and Women brains are actually structured differently and in the way they react to events and stimuli.

Men’s brains are eleven to twelve percent bigger than women’s brains. The size difference has nothing to do with the intelligence, but men need more neurons to control their greater muscle mass and larger body size.

Men process better in the left hemisphere of the brain while women process equally between the two hemispheres. This explains why men are stronger with left brain activities and approach problem-solving from a task-oriented perspective while women typically solve problems more creatively and are more aware of feelings while communicating.

Men have a larger inferior-parietal lobule area of the brain especially on the left side than women. This area of the brain suppose to be able to control the mental mathematical ability and explains why me frequently preform higher in mathematical tasks than women. In women there right side of the inferior-parietal lobule allow them to focus on specific stumble.

Both women and men are susceptibility to disorders from the use of the two hemispheres of the brain differently. Men are more likely to have dyslexia or other language problems and women may have mood disorders such as depression and anxiety. Handedness is not a disorder but the brain tendencies explains why there are more left-handed men than women.

The two sections in the brain that are responsible for language are larger in women than in men, this may be the reason women excel in language base subjects and in language associated thinking. Men only process language in their dominant hemisphere, where women process language in both. Women are more likely to recover from a stroke affecting the language then a men.

There are differences in reaction to stress in men and women, men have a fight to response to stress situation while women seem to handle the same situation well.

The area of the brain that is activated during pain is called the amygdala. The amygdala right side is activate in men when there is pain and the left side is activated in women. The right amygdala has more connections with areas of the brain that control external functions while the right has more connections with internal functions.Pain is perceive differently in men and women. Women require more morphine than men. Not only but women tend to vocalize there pain an to seek treatment for their pain than men.

Women struggle in spatial ability and men have stronger spatial abilities or being able to mentally represent a shape and its dynamics. Women have a thicker parietal region of the brain, which hinders the ability to mentally rotate objects.

In conclusion, men brains may be bigger but in my own opinion women are still intelligent than they are.
